TMNT - in a nutshell
now, a lot of you kids told me i was a lamer for wanting to see this movioe, and that it looked like crap, but im here to inform you that (in my opinion) it was a great film.
if you were a fan of the orignal movies and old 80's cartoon, i hvae a good feeling you will enjoy the flick if not growing so far into your manhood that you think you are too hardcore for this "shit".
the story takes place after the defeat of the turtles arch-nemesis Shredder, old master of the footclan, when splinter sent leonardo to train in south (i think its africa)to become a better leader for his brothers. the other three keep themselves busy with other things besides ninja action, and later are grouped back together to fight adversaries from a different time era (no, NOT like turtles 3) the story isnt the deepest thing in the world, but its not as corny and ridiculous as you might think.
the setting is quite strong like the original movie, with good serious tones to strip from the comic relief but without destroying it. the CG looks wonderful and the animations are extreamly fluid and great. the acrobatics of the turtles and the foot and such will be quite fun too look at because its "bitchin'"
to put it this way all you non-believers, if you enjoyed the old movie, the old cartoon, and you still have your old toys lofting around somewhere, see the movie, dont be held back by your machoness (or at least rent it when it comes out) because it was very good.
a few things to note -
1)there is an amazing scene that when you see it, youll know what i mean
2)the woman in charge of the foot took place of the shredder as leader, she wasnt just made up.
3)no corey feldman, sorry
