I had been trying to kill him for years now and he had the audacity to die at the hands of another before I could kill him back in our own world. Of course, he didn't even know I was still alive at that time.
He also killed me the last time he was here. Is it too much for me to want a little revenge?
[But he would have just kept the body and killed him again the second he came back...and just repeated the process.]
I don't know what conflict you had, or your history, it's true. But I think there must have been another way--perhaps if he comes here again, you can resolve your differences peacefully.
I don't claim to understand revenge, but... I don't think it can bring satisfaction.
There's no way that a Senju can ever make peace with an Uchiha. It has been tried in the past, and it only resulted in the annihilation of an entire clan.
Oh, it is one of the most satisfying feelings in the world.
We were at war with each other for years before a peace treaty was created, along with a village that would house both clans. Old habits and politics got in the way of any peace or balance between the clans that ever could have been.
My clan was killed because they were trying to free themselves from the shackles put upon them by the Senju.
There are only two Uchihas who are alive in my world, myself included. Neither of us will be striving for peace with the Senju or the village they created.
[That's really sad Madara, life is precious! There must be a diplomatic way to work out your differences!]

I guess I don't understand. Why?

I don't know about the grudges between your clans, but I think it's possible that peace can be obtained sincerely, if people strive for it.
[Guy put aside his desire for revenge, after all Kimlaca and Malkuth put aside centuries of hatred. It can be done.]
I hope that such a thing can happen for you.
