Thanks to the lovely netter_buggy: a line!

Object challenge: turkey

Just a thought...Usually any names are removed from these things. So like this:

Surely there were worse things than cleaning up the results of a failed experiment, but at the moment ______ couldn't think of any.

Then people can use their own characters and names?

There have been lines that included names. I remember at least one occasion where I used a prompt that included one, possibly more. It makes it more of a challenge. I'm curious to know what others think for the future, but since this line is already a day late, I'm disinclined to change it.

Ok. I'm not participating anyway (it's NaNoWriMo and all), but it was just a thought. I think I'm generally disinclined to do ones that include character names as I'm usually trying to flesh out details of characters already in my mind.

I'm going to second this. 99.9% of the time I'm going to be writing fanfic for something that's already got it's own characters with names.

Okay. I'll try to remember to remove names, though I wonder if maybe it might make the most sense to have a policy that says changing the name is okay? (Which is what I'd suggest you do for this week's line, should you bee inclined to write something.)

Okay. Would it make sense to change the rules (not that any of us can edit the rules post) to say that you can change any names given in the line? In case something happens and whoever's posting the line forgets?

Well, who said the whole story had to be about Todd?

Also a good point (and I must confess that I don't think it would hurt anyone to write a wholly original piece here and there...)
