So Holy Crap
so the summer play is being done as a collaboration of:
AOA (thats when I did Faustus and 4 characters in Cyrano de B)
and
Norman Family Theater (Cody's group - that's when I did And Evening With Chekhov)
who are joining together for the summer play which is Merry Wives of Windsor.
*Probably* because they thought they'd have enough people audition but I'm afraid that didn't happen and attendance was very low.
AND I GOT A MASSIVE ROLE (not just one, but TWO. But almost everyone is playing 2 roles it's going to be crazy) AS THE JEALOUS HUSBAND AND I'M TELLING YOU I HAVE ALL THE LINES.
And it's not just monologues - I can HANDLE long monologues. Ford has, like, 6 soliloquies or something like that. It's nuts.
IT IS VERY INTIMIDATING.
Not *JUST* the amount of lines, it's the amount of energy. I'm also playing "Simple" a servant who I decided to play as a cross between Tweak from South Park and Beaker from the Muppet Show.
That's when I thought he only had one scene. He has more.
And then there is Ford who has to go from Raving Jealous Maniac back to Reformed I'll Never Be Jealous Again Lovable Guy that you actually *want* Mistress Ford to stay married to.
And part of me is looking at it and thinking - oh yeah, I COULD have done this, and done it well, 10 years ago. Now I'm not sure I have the stamina and really don't know how to get MORE stamina in the next 2 months. Do they have a stamina store anywhere local?
