I went to bed at 10pm last night. At 10:30 I got a call from Nathan to time when we were going to go to the MoMA, but apparently I went back to bed; I can't remember anything between 10:30 and 1am, when I woke up. So there I was, 1am 'til 4:30, laying in bed, desperately willing myself to sleep. I've never experienced anything like that before. I even read for an hour, like I had done the morning before, to get myself sleepy. It worked last time, but it didn't today, probably because today I was reading the Zombie Survival Guide, while last time I was reading TV Guide. My god, TV gossip is boring.
I am supposed to be awake at 8am for all to go well (ie, I need time to take a shower & get ready & such.) I'd like to come back home and probably sleep, and maybe, if Valerie & Nathalie are up to it, we could go to the Prep party. Lol, probably not. I also want to go to RCS on Friday, but I don't want to go without everyone. I guess I'll make my phonecalls and such later, for those who don't check LJ as often.
I'm surprised by how long my good mood from New Years has remained a major facet of my demeanor. Like five people over the course of two days have called me a bitch and nearly severed ties with me for what I consider to be mundane reasons, and I have not taken it nearly as badly as I would've had it come to me at any other time. Even Evan's lack of presence hasn't bothered me as much as it usually does. We spoke for a long time yesterday, though, and it was rather nice. Almost like old times. Almost, though; don't think I'm still not deeply upset by what has become of us.
Have I mentioned that Utada Hikaru has infested my brain? Oh, did I also fail to say that I haven't slept very well in a very long time?
