The Apple Orchord

One fine day a girl sat next to a boy. Nothing happened. They sat there in utter silence looking straight in front. One might say it was an awkward silence. But it wasn't. Neither of them felt the least bit awkward. Out of blue the boy told the girl that she smelt nice. Silence. Do you know why the apple trees are blooming right before our eyes? asked the girl. Silence. Because our beautiful silent music lifts the apple trees sprits. Can you hear the silent melody? The boy replied, But the silent song wouldn't truly brighten the apple trees day without our motionless dancing. Silence. I can hear it said the boy. I can see it said the girl. Once their imaginations become one, the silent music was heard and a single tear rolled down the boys cheek, in pure ecstasy of the silent apple tree song flowing through his ear like lovers kissing as they flowed down stream. The boy looked over at the girl for the first time and saw a matching single tear. They simultaneously sat up from the log and walked together threw the grass, feeling the grass playing with their bare feet until they were in the middle of the apple orchard. They started dancing. Dancing arm in arm, looking as deeply into each others eyes as none have dared before and swirling around the trees all the while. Faster and faster they twirled until they vanished. Some say they are still dancing to the silent music arm in arm. Others say they vanished to a world, where people are comfortable in silence. No one really knows. But hopefully some day everyone will know what happened to them. They will drop their hectic lives for an hour or two and listen to the silent music in the apple orchard and fully know what it is like to be happy.
