i wish i just didn't care

Jun 13, 2007 12:19

i am so rather happy most of the time.
i like being reclusive.
i like public libraries. specially in the summer when no one is around to use them.
it sucks how i can be so tied away in my small world that is barely 12 blocks long and six blocks wide, that i fail to remember that life really sucks sometimes.

today someone reopened my little box of heartfelt passion for people. which is cruel. cause if i care about the world, then i have to do things for it. and i didn't want to remember how i want to live in another country in a tiny bungalow far far away. the american dream has never been for me.

i watch "the corporation" a documentary on corporations. and how they are evil. it reminded me of why i so badly hated the business department. there is no way with an accounting degree i can convince a corporation to start recycling. and to stop pretending CO2 emissions are someone elses problem.

which brings me to another point. i dont like the auto industry. i also dont like that i now use a car. and as often as i do.

the american auto companies need to take responsability for the service they provide. they make cars. and sell them. i think it should now be illegal to sell cars that emitt such high amounts of CO2. im not a hippie. i just dont want to run out of oxygen after we are done cutting all the trees to make our chlorinated bleached paper. What is the problem with using brown paper anyway?

the auto industry is responisble for 20% of CO2 emissions (the wall street journal). that is a lot. and with the new bill capping co2 emissions, they are only responsible for 3% cutbacks in emissions. The utilities industry is responsible for the rest. an industry that is already using hydro and wind to cut emissions. there is something a little unfair about that. All of the Japaneese auto companies have already released cheaper, fuel efficient cars that emitt less carbon dioxide(poison).

eitherway. SOMETHING needs to happen. so i hope the bill goes through. just as long as there is some better monitoring.
and more fines. THe corporations are making money off of breaking the pollution laws. Its cheaper for them to pay the fines and pollute. rather than find safer healthier ways to operate.

im so fucking boaring.

school starts next week.
books were very expensive. im going to Port Orchard this weekend. i want to see an amy. it has been too long.

TODAY:
pizza rolls
two shifts of work
lemon granola bars
lots of junk food
movies
harry potter books.
some intermediate accounting studying
cuddle time with hoot cat
maybe some river wading...before the sun goes down.

im off to lay in the grass with my pizza rolls and harry p.
have a good afternoon.
sorry i blab about stuff i cannot fix or do anything about. and its not even remotely important to any of us at the moment.
enjoy the swealtering gas prices.
get a sunburn.
