Hanging out with "The Guys" on thursday was nice. Until that whiteout..err...blackout. Damn the god of irony, when it was dark out that night i was STILL walking to my dad's house from ridgewood. Well at least my legs are as hard as a rock now from all the walking i've done all summer. walk to the train, walk home from the train, walk to this guy's place, walk over here, there, up there. Good Stuff

God damn, on saturday..or was it friday? well on one of those days, i ate tainted beef even though i knew that that's not the smartest thing to do (The Tv also told me not to). Well mom made barbecue, and how could i pass that up. besides, the fridge was only not working for 24 hours or something, so come on. Yeah stupid ass me. Well i payed for it with a deserving sequence of El Nino coming out of my ass. 8 times. Yum.

That Met game last week was chock full of quality. I swear when i'm older i'm gonna be a season ticket holder for sure. Season ticket holder for the Giants too. Haha, there will be certain weekends in September where it'll be Saturday at Shea and Sunday at Giants stadium. Heck, i can't wait till i attend my FIRST Giants game, damn things are always sold out. And for good reason, them giants be a good team sucka. Preseason, pfffft, yeah the Jets went 4-0 in the preseason last summer, and they ended up with a 9-7 record, BARELY squeaking into the playoffs. Meanwhile, three other teams in the AFC East HAD THAT SAME RECORD, those being Miami and New England. and Buffalo was 8-8, one game away from a 4-WAY DIVISION TIE! now THAT would've been interesting. damn how would they have determine the AFC East champion? 4-way swordfight between the head coaches? well i've HAVE been saying for a while about how i can't wait until gladitorial entertainment returns to the bloodthirsty masses.

Mmm, fire and brimstone....

Now back to the Mets. I thought about it last night, there are 39 games left in the regular season. And they got a 6 game winning streak going, sweeping San Fran and the Colorado Rockettes (Rockies), if they win ALL remaining games of the season, they CAN go to the postseason! no really, they can do it, i know they can...

Ok ok maybe a LITTLE far-fetched, but it sure is exciting thinking about a line-up next year including Reyes, Philips, Wigginton, Piazza, and Floyd. Art Howe, i have a solution to your second base woes, bring up a kid from the minors. for the outfield too. bring em up for september and see how they play it out. and maybe if your farm system can't fill the holes out the outfield enough, THEN you make a run for a free agent like Vladimir Guerrero. Personally i think the Mets have enough bats in their lineup, especially given the fact that Floyd will be healthy come Opening Day, but I would really go after Kevin Millwood or some other pitcher. We need pitching, our bats are as good as they are now. heck in the last 2 weeks we've scored on average 6.6 runs a game. Good enough.I know that thats only in the last two weeks, but im sure in the offseason, these kids, ESPECIALLY these young kids will head to the gym a lot and work on their power. We've seen that Wigginton can be a 30-plus home run guy. Philips is up to ten homers and hes only been on the club since MAY. Both of these guys are rookies so you cant expect THAT much from him, nevertheless Wigginton leads ALL major legue rookies in homers, rbis, and on base percentage. and Philips hitting .330?! and Reyes hitting .320!? and theyve both only been in the majors for not even a full season!? What, whats that i hear? a contending team in the works? Yes, but pitching is a priority. The bullpen included.

Now let me check up on Burnitz's stats with the Dodgers, and MIlwood's age. Man my head hurts, i need to eat something and also do laundry soon if i want to leave the house early...

I think my birthday cake went bad too. That would explain why i got the runs again this morning. But...so chocolatey. Who cares if it's green?

So Millwood is gonna be 29 in December. Hes not old at all. Leiter, Trachsel, and Glavine is a decent 3-man roster, I think Glavine is finally getting used to Questec and pitching in NY. Leiter has gotten back into shape and his last 6 starts have been marvelous. That asshole on WFAN yesterday (Ehh, Leiter's looking shot and old...) yeah would you rather have Jeff Weaver pitching for you if you want to win a game, or Al Leiter. Jose Contreras, or Al Leiter? Yeah, shot my ass. I hope YOU get shot. God damn Yankee fans. they comment on the Mets when they don't even watch/listen to the damn games, well i listen to the games of both teams, so shaddup. If they're gonna go for a pitcher, bring in Millwood and try to fill the fifth spot with Seo, because hes looking better, or maybe Heilman, who looks decent. again, you can't expect too much from Rookies, so don't judge their whole career from their debut season. If Art Howe and the Wilpons REALLY want a bat, then have 5-7 doctors look at Guerrero's back, and if they OK it, then get him. But don't doubt the farm boys, look at what the minors have produced for you. Wigginton, Philips, Reyes, Duncan, Scutaro. Duncan and Scutaro look to be decent prospects as well, but i CAN'T wait until they bring up Ober Moreno from the minors.

Damn this is a long entry. I guess it's because i know no big baseball fan's like myself that i can talk sports with. That and my moms asleep and i don't want to wake her by moving around too much.

I'm gonna go check from Minor's' stats.
