Ren fest types
I had this conversation with a friend a few months ago. I don't remember all of it but basically there are 4 types of personalities/rennie types at fest.
1. The Weekender: has plenty of garb and is most likely a playtron. They may have once worked at a fest but don't take it too seriously.
2. The Diehard: generally has more garb than real clothes or they own items that cost more than their car. They live and breathe fest. They camp at site and generally work at fest. Once the season ends, they are already thinking of the next season.
3. The Pick-up: This is someone who has friends involved with fest, usually a significant other. They enjoy it and often end up buying garb but it doesn't become a lifestyle.
4. The Creeper: This is the type of person who is attracted to any sort of "alternative" lifestyle in hopes of getting something. Easy money, sex, whatever. They go along with whatever it is without really caring about the details.
I don't believe that a person is just one type but that there is a type that usually is dominant. I also believe that people can start as one thing and change over the years. I also believe that I come up with some interesting ideas and theories that I apparently need to share with the world. I oftentimes wish it was more than just this sort of silliness though I suppose the silliness does fit me quite well.
