I didn't know clubs existed with alternative bands. So I stopped by the Temple Club today with a friend from Living Rock and a friend from His House Christian Fellowship. I tell you it was the weirdest place to have a club in the world-- a former Methodist Church! How bizarre. Most windows were stain glass images of a cross. Instead of stools, we sat in church pews. Behind us stood a large curtain that you could pull back to see Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. Very weird setting for someone to get drunk in. (I'm not allowed to drink because of my meds.)
But why bother to drink in this age when there's the adrenalin rush of screecher music and electric guitar mixed with energy drinks? haha When the main band did their number, I was the only one dancing the floor. The best term for what I do is a letting loose interpretive dance. YAY BABY!
Well I captured attention. The Staff at the club thought I was drunk at first and for a very long time. They asked my friend if I was on anything. She replied, "He's always like this." On the second band number, another band asked me if I would be willing to dance in their upcoming show and be in a video possibly. I said I'd love to until I found out that they wanted me to put on a scary denim outfit. (Well, at least they liked the dancing.)
The second band called me up on stage to dance around the center-- quite shocking. And I was given a CD from that band and the flyer to announce the performance where I was invited to dance.
Quite a crazy night for me. Fun times.
