Meta on that Doctor Who clip that's been leaked.

Now to the spoilers...  Remember, the only context I have is this 57 seconds.


Did all the companions just turn into total WUSSES?  Seriously?  Jack just kisses his ass everybody goodbye, Sarah Jane bursts into tears and cries on a kid, Martha and Rose (what we saw of them) just stand there.

Okay, the good points in this clip: 

• Gwen asking what the Daleks are.  They seem to remember that Ianto would know.
• Jack kissed Ianto first. (yes, sorry, my religion is showing)  And at the end of the clip, Ianto is just leaning on him like, "yeah, we're pretty fucked but at least I still have you."

The WTFukery of this clip:

• Jack just standing there and going "there's nothing I can do".  I cannot BELIEVE Jack would ever just go, "Well, Earth, you're fucked over now! See ya!"
• Sarah Jane weeping on that kid and going over emo with "You're too young!"  Now, I've only really seen her in "School Days" and like half a SJA ep, but she seemed stronger than that.  Also? I can't believe the Doctor would have such pansy-ass companions as these two come off as in this clip.
• Was Jack just being inclusionary when he said, "We're all dead."  Because, yeah, they killed him when he was a normal human, but at this point, we have no reason to believe a Dalek can kill Jack.  Shouldn't he have said, "You're all dead"?
  

The questions of this clip:

• Will Jack and Ianto get to talk about their mutual Dalek induced PTSD?  After all, Until Rose/The Bad Wolf came along, the Daleks killed Jack.  And he expected it to stick that time.  Ianto was at Torchwood One.
• We only see Jack, Ianto and Gwen.  Are Tosh and Owen in this one or does it happen after EW?
