My best art auction ever.
This piece had an opening bid of $8.
It went for $26 in the auction. Yay. 3X opening bid.
I think I started this one at $12.
It went to auction at $21, but sold to the bid sheet. (i.e. no one bid on it at the auction, so it goes to the person who put the last bid on the sheet.
I'm a tad disappointed in this one. The picture doesn't do it justice - it came out really, really nice.
It started at $20 and went for $40. I think it may have done better if the auctioneer hadn't butchered the delivery. He didn't even mention that it had earrings.
This is the one I wasn't going to cry over if it didn't sell.
I put it in at $15.
It went for $35. Not too bad. :)
I started these at either $6 or $8. I think $6.
$25. Woot!
Okay, in the middle of describing this pair of earrings:
The auctioneer killed the sound system. This is the same guy who butchered the description of my other set. I think I don't want him doing my stuff any more. Anyway, I put them in at $6, they went to the bidsheet at $8. Meh.
These started at $10. A similar pair went for $50 last year.
$30 this year. And these were a big pain in the ass to make. But still... from $10 to $30...
These went in at $10 and went for my magic number $25. :) Mike Cole was the auctioneer and well... he was very silly! As if that needs said.
Last one for the auction...
I put this one in at $8... it went to the bid sheet for $15.
All in all, I can't complain about my art show this year. There were also about 6 other pieces that went for bids on the bid sheets. Not too bad.
And later... pictures of Mike Cole being kissed by a guy. (You have to know Mike and his - very tongue and cheek and done for laughs! - attitude about slash to know why this is the funnies thing EVAH!
