Fannish Friday Five
'Cause I haven't done one for like... ages:
Rec any combination of stories, vids, or meta for your fandom (for a total of 5).
Yeah, like my fandom-slut-self can contain it to five things within one fandom. So I'm going to rec 5 things, multi-fandom that I could not live without.
1. Vid: Cows with Guns Funniest. Vid. Ever.
2. Zine: Perestroyka. Best hurt/comfort/angst ever. I don't even mind the small child.
3. Story: Carefully Everywhere Descending Best rip your heart out and stomp on it angst ever. Especially for those of us with issues about not being wanted.
4. Story: Something Pretty Sexiest Het-Thing Ever.
5. Con: MediaWest. I know a lot of people have issues with it, but it's still the one place I can see most of the fannish people I want to, talk vidding with people who understand it and get my fill of paper fic.

In other news... I have my cake and wine. And a gay guy at the store (clearly, clearly gay) had a fabulous button that said, "Fuck your God" which I told him I approved of. He said I could have it, but I'd be dumb and wear it to an interview or something on accident. But he showed me the website it promotes and we stood in the frozen goods section and discussed the separation of church and state. :) Why are all the good guys gay?
