So I've been making a lot of egg burritos for dinner.
I'm still trying to figure out how make enough that I'm full and not so much that I have half-a-burrito left over. Which meant that tonight, there was half a burrito on a plate on my bed when I took the ferrets out.
Now, I figured even Kári, with his fetish for human food, would stay well clear of my sinus-clearing pico.
This was a mistake. I really, really need to stop over-estimating his self-preservation skills.
I looked up, saw him poking at a chunk of tomato and went, "There's no way he'll eat that. It's all onion-y and jalapeno-y and cilantro-y," and went back to working on my blog.
Idiot-boy ate it. And then started doing that thing ferrets do where they try to claw the taste of something foul out of their mouth *with their hands*. That's a sign of a ferret who has had something beyond vile. They usually only do that when a.) they're given certain meds or b.) they're about to throw up.
So I pick him up and put him back in the cage, because, you know... b. And I was assuming he'd be smart enough to either eat some boring kibble or drink some water.
No.
So I got him a dish of water, because for some reason a *bowl* of water is an awesome treat where my ferrets are concerned (I have no idea, really). He *shoved* Logi's head out of that bowl so fast! He's going to be peeing until he's seven the way he was drinking!
*sigh* I can't imagine WHY he thought that would taste at all good to him. He theoretically has a better sense of smell than me, so there's no way he didn't know there were some serious spiciness going on there.
Also, there were still a few bits of eggs on the plate. The eggs would have actually been healthy for him - protein in any form is good - but no. He ate a spicy tomato cube.
*sigh*' Boy ferrets.
In other news...I'm still trying to make a one-month living off m Etsy. :)
These soaps are now cheaper!
Set of six sparkly stars.
And there is much new stuff.
Little People Recycled Crayons. (I'm totally bringing my nephew a set of these in July, they're ADORABLE!)
Stained Glass Soy Wax Candle in a recycled jar. And I'm making scented hand sanitizer now!
3 Bottles (cheaper) or
1 bottle.
Tomorrow is the parade. I'm pretty geeked. Parade in my 'hood!
