So I go in the kitchen for a while and leave the phone in the bedroom. I come back in the bedroom and there's a message. It's someone telling me she's returning *my* call and it's about "this resignation for pep."
It is from a CPS number, but seriously who the fuck and what the fuck?
So I call back. I'm asked if I sent in a resignation form. I tell her I sent one to my lawyer back in February, but it appeared to have not been filed. I ask her if it's now been filed. All of a sudden she won't talk to me. I ask why she called me and she said, "Did you send in a request for pep?" Which, I'm now assuming is actually "P.E.P.", but I have no idea what the fuck that means.
So I ask. "Well, what's pep?"
She says, "Did you send in a resignation form?"
"A.) I said, I sent one to my lawyer and B.) What is this PEP you keep mentioning?"
Her answer, "Well, you don't qualify for pep."
"Charming. WHAT IS IT that I don't qualify for???"
"Did you give us a resignation letter?"
"Okay, same song, next verse. I gave one to my lawyer. It seemed to have not been filed. Are you telling me now that it has been filed?"
"We have your form."
"Okay, are you saying you got it *from me*, or that my lawyer sent it over?"
"It has your name and your signature. And you don't qualify for pep."
"Yeah, okay, whatever, I'm gonna call my lawyer and figure out what the hell you're not talking to me about." Click.
So I left my lawyer a voicemail. We'll see what happens.
But OMGWTF??????
ETA: PEP is apparently Pension Enhancement Program. Google is your friend.
My lawyer called back. He "can't recall" (swear to god, that's exactly what he said) if he filed my resignation form. And he seemed to be in no mind to go and actually *look it up*. You'd think something like that is something you'd want to keep a record of. Yes, I'm investigating getting a new lawyer to look into my case.
fuck this,
do not want,
woe is me,
work
