Apparently today is an effort to make up for the sucktasticness of Wednesday.

Woke up to find that...

Three of my Gibbs/DiNozzo stories have been nominated for NCIS fic awards.  I haven't even written Mothership fic... well, since LA came out, so I'm really chuffed that at least one person remembered my stuff from back in the day.

Fics in question:

Bottom of the Ninth (for something I felt kind of iffy about while writing it, I've discovered that this is something that the readers really like.)
Coping Mechanism (which I had to go and reread because I looked at the title and went, "That totally sounds like a title I'd use... but what the hell was it about???")
and Any Port in a Storm? which is just post-"Agent Afloat" silliness.

So...person/people who nominated me, if you're reading this, Thank You! :)

And *then* I found out that an art blog was doing a feature on daisy prints and had picked up my picture "Dew Dazzled Purple Daisy" from my Etsy.  So geeked about that. :)

Also, it's the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man and to celebrate Google has a Pac Man Logo.  And it's PLAYABLE!  Use your arrow keys!  Go Inky, Blinky, Clyde and... the other guy!

In less than welcome news, the girls got their monthly shots and I got Magick's weight history.  She has consistently lost weight since her physical last July.  In all she's lost ~150 grams.  Now at her heaviest, last July, she was only 808 g.  This downward freefall is not healthy.  She's back on daily babyfood.  Gaia's at 837 and climbing.  This is good as long as all the weight isn't tumor.  (< Arnold S. voice> It's not a tumor! < my voice> No, really, this time it is. )

But both are acting fine.

Tomorrow there shall be butterflies on an em effing macro lens!  Woot!  And dolphins.  That are not completely backlit.    Yay zoo.

Oh AND two of the prompts I dropped in comment_fic a while back got picked up and answered within the last hour and kept me entertained at the vet. :)
