Life is really strange at times.  I'm super emotional right now.  six years of Iowa city is weighing heavily on my shoulders.  All of the mistakes I have made.  The friendships I have lost.  I have lost a lot of really important people to me via my self centric nature, unchecked illness etc.  I have so few people left that are close to me that

I'm an asshole. I meant to tell you your resume looked good and seemed to contain all the relevant info. Also, nice GPA there.

More importantly, I'm so happy you're my friend. You are smart, a genuinely caring person, both a good talker and a good listener, and just sweet and fun to be around. I love you, you should love you, too.

I hope you survive your time with your mother, and that she comes to recognize you as an adult who can live on your own and make your own (good, even) decisions. Failing that, your plan to move far, far away seems like it might speed the process. I assume that's what your brother did?
