Don't Suggest a Giant Slide or a Trampoline, Because We've Already Tried That

Today I spent $200 on art supplies. That was for 3 classes, but still. Wow. I will spend under $10 for my general PSYCHOLOGY class. Yes! Evelyn, I know you are excited. I will account tales of Bonnie Kate learning about such things.
Thing I need advice on: I am taking a class for which my skills surpass what I am currently learning. I know I'm not just being pretentious because my advisor waived me from the next two classes (this one is a pre-requisite for those, so I know it is less advanced). Luckily, he loved my portfolio (who knew I was that awesome?), but we said I should take tihs class because it will allow me to think more, but I am not thinking. We are learning to make text boxes. It's like learning how to crawl, or sit up, or blink. Any suggestions for getting past this bored, sleepy feeling? I feel like Hermione Granger.
On the plus side, my professor likes me and told the class I was smart and that anyone who was my 'buddy' (required buddy for h/w and stuff) was very lucky. That was nice.
My classes are mostly awesome. At the moment, I am dead tired, but I felt you all deserved an update, so there it is!
