I agree alot with what you said, there are to many people walking around now'a'days and being like "look I'm depressed, I listen to dashboard, and my mommy didn't buy me new sunglasses, I'm emo" and that pisses me off...in my school there is this section of about thirty to forty kids, who consider themselve the emo/hardcore people, and they preach the sXe lifestyle and act so high and mighty....but when you talk to these kids, they are basically emotionally dead...emo is more then just listening to music that is fit in emo category...

Emo has turned into a bunch of depressed trend whores, and it's not that...Emo is emotional like pete said, just because you like the style of music doesn't mean your emo...I mean I know some girls that are so incredibly well off, straight A's, rich parents, nice cars, and yet they walk around claiming how EMO they are, when in reality they couldn't have it better, their biggest complaint is "mom wouldn't give me a 100 for that pair of pants i wanted"...it saddens me...

I'm an emo kid...and emo kid that doesn't hang with the so called emo crowd because I just can't stand the selfish apathy they breed...and year after year the emo kids multiply and they get more and more trend whoreish...its sickening..
