I have reduced the number of people on my friends list - simply because I'm having trouble keeping up with everybody. I'm at a stage of life where I need to build better relationships with the people I know well, rather than more relationships with people I only know slightly ( Read more... )

I will miss you lots :( I've always enjoyed reading your journal, ever since you were in Austria (or was it before?!), and I always find the time to read your entries sooner or later. I've not had that much time for LiveJournal recently, so I don't always do a very thorough catch up on the whole friends page, and I'm not commenting and connecting with people as much anymore, nor writing proper entries. As much as I do love my new life with the career and the social life and the people actually here in person who care, it's quite sad, becasue things like this are starting to happen where interesting people I felt quite attached to and cared about for years are noticing that I'm becoming a boring and rubbish LJ friend and cutting the ties :( It does make me very sad, and I did always hope that one day we'd make the effort to meet up, maybe with Graham and Sabrina as well (who I'd also love to meet) and have a mini TheSite meet/reunion thing. I don't hold it against you though - we only have so much time, so it's understandable that you'd want to invest it and your energy in people who are actually part of your life, rather than ones you just vaguely know from online.

I suppose this is the point where I try and stop moping and thank you for letting me in to your life with your wonderfully personal and absorbing entries for this long, and for weighing in and being supportive in mine, but that means saying goodbye and I don't really want to :/

God, sorry for being such an emo sap. I clearly need to go to bed. But the comment still stands; I may just have not been so honest if I was reading and replying on my lunch break.
