MY FAVORITE HEROES OF THE YEAR.
My man Hawkeye was everywhere this year, in his own series, in Secret Avengers, in Hawkeye vs. Deadpool and he even showed up in Black Widow. And he's lost his hearing, making him one of the few disabled superheroes right now.
Marvel now has a Muslim superhero headlining her own book, Ms. Marvel. And we got an awesome, funny, relatable new character in Kamala Khan.

MY FAVORITE SINGLE ISSUES (in alphabetical order).
Afterlife with Archie's fourth issue tells the heartbreaking story of a boy and his dog during the zombie apocalypse.
Bravest Warriors does "Where's Waldo?" in its "The Search For Catbug" one-shot.
Fantastic Four #5 offers a quick history of the first superhero team with several guest artists and a game-changer of an ending.
After 2013's innovative Pizza Dog-issue Hawkeye kept pushing the envelope: #19, "The Stuff What Don't Get Spoke" is largely told through sign language after Hawkeye loses his hearing.
Little Nemo: Return To Slumberland #1 was a worthy sequel to Winsor McCay's classic comic strip.
Groot takes the spotlight in Rocket Raccoon #5 which is told almost entirely with his limited vocabulary.
Sex Criminals #8 is equally funny and sad, introduces a great new character and even offers a lot of useful information about birth control.
Thor #18 adds some father issues to its sad tale of the unlikely friendship between Thor and a dragon.
The LGBTQ-friendly sixth issue of Trees shows that sexual confusion and gender issues won't stop after an alien invasion.
