Of those I'd say My Sassy Girl and Punch-Drunk Love are the most well-known. Especially My Sassy Girl: "The film was extremely successful in South Korea and was the highest grossing Korean comedy of all time.[2] When My Sassy Girl was released throughout East Asia, it became a mega blockbuster hit in the entire region, from Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, as well as Southeast Asia, to the point where it was drawing comparisons to Titanic." It also got several remakes, an American one with Jesse Bradford and Elisha Cuthbert, a Bollywood version, a Chinese sequel (?) and even a Japanese drama TV show. Punch-Drunk Love is a Paul Thomas Anderson-movie (made between Magnolia and There Will Be Blood) starring Adam Sandler, Emily Watson and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It won Best Director at Cannes. That's the one movie I'm surprised you've never heard of.
Play Dead and The Trip are gay indie movies. Summer Wars is Anime. Severance is a British horror comedy. Reprise was a Norwegian candidate for the Foreign Language Oscar, but didn't get nominated. Neither Hot Rod or Wet Hot American Summer, though having prominent casts and cult status, are your kind of movies, those are for comedy nerds like me. So none of those titles surprise me. Maybe not knowing about My Life Without Me surprises me the tiniest bit, it was kind of an arthouse hit and has Mark Ruffalo, but you were too young to be interested in a cancer drama when it came out, I guess. I capped it here: http://thefabone.dreamwidth.org/117294.html
