[Locked to ZELDA // Very difficult to hack]

[There is a soft melody in the background, a clear, bright sort of song meticulously played upon some sort of string instrument, a harp, or a lyre, it sounds like. The music continues for a few moments before the one playing speaks up.]

Your Grace, Zelda, would you permit a newcomer a meeting with you?

You must be a newcomer.

[ An enigmatic newcomer if his words are any sort of indication. He doesn't seem nearly as shaken as others who have found themselves here either, which gives her as much as pause as the music. She shakes her head after a moment, effectively snapping out of 'it', then speaks with a genial tone. ]

Ah, forgive my poor manners. My name is Valeria, and you are...?

[Valeria. Now there's something more surprising.]

Sheik, my lady.

[How she hated the title previously. And horses, he recalled.]

My la --

[ Valeria halts mid-word, wrinkling her nose even more so at the title. It sounded wrong when applied to her, like something someone might say more in jest than anything else, and yet... ]

Er, 'Valeria' is fine. Or Val, if you'd like, just... not that, okay?

[ This is one of those times she's rather happy she respects her instinctual inclination towards audio as opposed to video when it comes to communication devices. ]

[There's a sound not unlike a suppressed snort.]

As you wish, Valeria.

[ There is something odd about that sound, but she can't quite put her finger on it. ]

Do you need any assistance, Mr. Sheik? Has anyone informed you of the basics since you arrived?

I am in no need of assistance, thank you. And 'Sheik' is name enough for me. As for the basics, I believe I have the jist. If you could tell me what you know of these 'fae' we're set against, however, I would be grateful.

The majority of the faeries behave malevolently toward those brought to Demeleier. Sometimes, their mischief is harmless. At other times, it's downright harmful and has resulted in the serious injury of residents in the past. They appear to be constantly on the offense and are said to be in direct opposition to the being known as 'the Guardian,' who has expressed and supported his declaration of wanting to assist those brought here.

As for their abilities, they appear very much capable of using illusory magic. They escape the naked eye unless you're wearing the wreathe of twigs and berries you woke up with or you have iron on you. Those we've encountered thus far also appear to have an aversion to iron and both physical and magical attacks appear to be useless against them.

[ She pauses to take a breath, then continues at an even pace. As much as she'd like to give a short explanation, she would just as soon arm those who arrive with sufficient knowledge that supports itself to stave off doubts and risky behavior. ]Physical attacks ( ... )

[ The corners of her lips tug upward into an easy smile as she speaks. ]

You're welcome, Sheik. If there's anything else I can help you with, please don't hesitate to let me know.
