Man. It's already almost October? Wild.
Didn't get the job, at my school still. I was really depressed for a while, but I'm okay now. Pretty much planning on moving if I can find a job next summer though. If I can't be in Michigan, I'd like to try another city at least. Maybe move down south for a while, or the west coast, or NYC. Somewhere not Baltimore. Love Baltimore, but it's getting to the point where I'd like to move on. I'll figure that out.
Officially quit derby in August. My work life is way too busy, and frankly, I just have never had that mindset where working out before working out sounds like a great idea, which is pretty much what was about to be expected of me. I'd rather be how I am. I love skating, and I love my quads, but I'd rather do it for pleasure.
Miss friends. Work has been kind of insane. My social life has been pretty much nil in Bmore, but I has the happy digital community that I can talk to on a regular basis. Still kind of awesome that I can chill on my computer and talk to my friends in Japan and see how they're doing. I also got a webcam so I can Skype with my sister. :)
Lots of weddings next year apparently. Well. Three (four?) that I'm going to. Pending on whether one friend decides to say fuck it and elope, I'll be in two of them. So...that's pretty cool. Wisconsin, Texas, and Michigan. Traveling is neat. Only thing I don't like hearing is "we need to find you a guy!" I don't mind it, and yes, finding a guy would be neat as I've been single for the last 3 years, but I'm really hoping it doesn't turn into this horrid broken record. Plus, I'm doing fairly well all single like. Blraahlkng enough of that though!
Looking forward to new happy things. While work is insane, it is good and I like going now for the most part. It's cooling off and becoming fall which is my favorite time of the year. My best friend, his fiance and my mom are all coming out at the end of next month to see Jon Stewart rally for sanity and to also party down for halloween (my mom is going to dress as a teabagger. This is why I love my mother.) I'm going to take a quick weekend to see a good friend of mine in NYC for a fancy dress friend date, West Virginia in November for my birthday/ Thanksgiving, and Texas for winter break.
I feel like everything is going to go very slowly and quickly at the same time. After all, it's already almost October.
