Getting through the day may be tougher than you thought it would be -- especially if some rather distressing news arrives. Just don't try to avoid the situation. It won't work, so be brave, meet it head on and deal with it. That means no calling in sick to work, no asking to leave early and no dragging yourself through the day pouting.
