why i love chicago #1456
The city fire dept has a giant red rain robot! It's a giant blower mounted on a fire truck, raised 50ft in the air and shooting fire hose water into a fine mist onto the crowd.
So far Lolapallooza is pretty fun, aside from smelly hippies and fermenting garbage. The recession is worse than imagined, all these college kids are either wearing almost nothing or forced to wear their grandparents clothes! (Probably the same clothes they wore @ woodstock).
It's about 94F/35C, but there's a nice wind blowing. Bats for Lashes were great, despite the sun & heat & out door acoustics. Met w/ the_axel & mr_sharkey for brunch @ earwax, then picked out a bicycle for pop, bumped into uberwensch during bats for lashes and now looking for 50_ft_queenie.
