Short Blurbs from the Tundra
1). GO BEARS! Shuddup. I'm a born and bred Chicagoan. If you think the Bears hype is stupid, you grew up without 312 in your phone number.
2). Before you volunteer to help a goth move, remember you will have to move weird things like a 200 pound grey stone gargoyle.
3). It was -5F (-20C) with a windchill of -23F last night. Ah... Chicago winter, you're a little late this year.
4). I am going to Boston the weekend of Feb 24th. All grasshopper devotees are requested to come join me for dinner on Sunday.
5). I am taking Latin American Music along with my Spanish class, for that total immersion experience. College is so much cooler than when I went (the 1st time). We start off the class by watching "The Mission" w/Robert Dinero. We have to go to 3 latino concerts and write review articles on them, and on top of that I am learning music theory and how to read music! I know for you musicians, this may not seem like much, but I've always wanted to learn this.
6). I am going to the Treffen this year and going to Spain to test my spanish.
7). I had the very very *BEST* vegan dinner at Candle 79. In all of my travels, this place is the clear winner for amazing unique vegan fare. Some of the items have caesin, but it's marked appropriately. It's pricey for sure, but the food orgasm is well worth it. The saki ginger drinks are also awesome!
