While I was home, I had the great advantage of cable telivision, and spent a lot of quality time with VH1. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I'm fairly impressed by the new My Chemical Romance video. The song is weak and smells a whole lot like Green Day (the frontman even seems to be mimicing Billy Joe's facial expressions these days), but a lot of the shots are gorgeous! Seems a little inspired by the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, if that's not giving it too much credit. I wish the band weren't featured in it in their cheesy marching band uniforms, that the CGI zeppelin wasn't involved, and that it was just good old Lukas Haas wandering around the scenery, but all in all, a good effort.
