Getting back into electronics and stuff, trying to start a new noise project. I think I'll try and get a bass since I think noise with bass could be cool, and because I want an instrument but my mom doesn't want me to get a guitar because she thinks I'll fuck my ears up even worse than I already do with my music (my words of course ;P). Plus bass players are much harder to find than guitar players, and me and this d00d have been trying to get a doom band together for awhile now with no luck. We haven't even been able to get a guitar player, but it would be even harder to get a bass player. Didn't think I'd ever say this, but I kind of resent the fact that our local scene is almost all death metal and hardcore. I need to move to NOLA. Go sludge!
Actually, as much as I love sludge, I don't want to just play standard sludge. Well, let me rephrase that...I suppose I would want to, but it wouldn't be my first choice of what to play. Maybe some fucked-up, depressing sludge like Toadliquor could be cool though.
