First post of 2006

Welp here we are, in 2006. This is my first post of the new year, and probably the only one I'm going to make, seeing that my track record for LJ postings isn't all that stellar.

Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone.

On a side note, and I'm probably showing my age now, I started looking at the official Ed Emberly website (i'm not gonna put the link, too lazy right now). He's a children's book author. I remember reading his books (well two of them at least I clearly remember reading) when I was a kid. I loved those books. They weren't your typical stupid kid books, but truly entertaining. Hell, I'd read one now if I had it hehehe. One of those books was The Great Thumbprint Drawing Book. It would teach kids how to draw a plethora (yes El Guapo, I know what a Plethora means :P) of things using just a simple thumbprint. It was awesome. Then there was The Wizard of Op. That's not a typo. It was a hilarious story. I don't remember too much, but the point of the book was to throw in optical illusions with a funny story line.

The point I'm getting to is, I don't know why I started thinking about this book. Just popped into my head. The human brain is weird.
