Had the most interesting discussion after Art Club today after school.
We were talking about how, what if when people looked at something, they saw it as different colors, but called it the same thing?
Like, if two people were looking at a purple square. In reality, the square is purple. Both people call it purple. But where one person sees the color as the "purple" that you and I see, the other person sees that color as the color that we would call "green". But because all their life people have been telling them the color they see is "purple", when they see that "green" color, they would call the "green" color they saw, "purple".
But there is no way to prove if something like this could happen or not, because you can't describe what a color is with out saying it's name. Like, if you try to say something green is the color of grass, you are still essentially saying it's green.
I don't know why we were talking about this, but it makes you think, doesn't it?
