Why drama queen community moderators suck -- and not in a fun way
I've just discovered that the moderator/owner of the lost_in_shadows community for players of the RavenBlack vampire game I've been involved in for years has had a temper tantrum and subsequently deleted all the community information files, such as the list of bank and pub locations.
In an incredibly self-serving and egotistical rant, devilmiyu shows that she wasn't getting sufficient attention so she decided to get some by pissing in the cornflakes of all the other players who were in her community. (You can read it here if you are so inclined, and if you look at her user profile, you'll see she lists her mood as "forgotten".)
In doing what she did, she proves that certain actions taken against her by the owners of the Yahoo group she also did things to were completely justified, in removing her as an owner and restricting her abilities in that group. What she did to the lost_in_shadows community is an example of her narcissistic ego-gratification demanding nature. "Look at me! Look at me! Look at ME! Fuck you if you don't look at me! I'll remove all the community info that everyone relies on! NOW you'll pay attention to me!!!"
What a brat.
Crap like this is one of the reasons I choose not to get involved in communities on LiveJournal and InsaneJournal. I've seen community moderators/owners abuse their powers because of ego issues too many times, and I'm sick of seeing it. Just grow the fuck up.
