The greatest thing in the world is to watch someone act natural, and then have their girlfriend/boyfriend come in and watch them change. My cynical painting professor's girlfriend came in to class and BAM, baby talk and smiles OUT OF NOWHERE. Oh, personality shift, you own like none other.
Yesterday was so cool, that's how college should always feel. I left work early because I had (and still have) a huge huge huge mid term paper to write. When I got back Richard wanted to hang out, so I planned to reward myself with video games and stuff after I finished a certain goal in the paper. It was unbelievable, I got done in an hour and a half what would have taken my procrastinating ass over twice as long. I was impressed and plan to implement the same tactic today. Now for the fun stuff: I had Pete's Fish and Chips for the first time, which were really leet. I hooked my bass up to Toddles' monster sound system and played my bass loud enough that the walls on most of the floor shook. His girlfriend thought it was amazing, I love that. We played halo for several hours and I absolutely rocked the other team in one game. 25 kill team game, I got 23 of the kills and the other team had 12 kills total. I feel like a douchebag bragging about my performance in a video game, but jesus christ, they killed me when I fucking ran out of ammo from killing them so often. It was pure refined annihilation. When halo 2 comes out, we are going to have no life but halo. It will be the same 6-8 hours a day we wasted a year ago. Then I went with Richard and Gina ot a friends house for a long time, we came back and stayed up for another hour or so just talking about stuff. It was so late, and so fun.
I also got a several amazon packages. Two new pairs of cowboy bebop pants (sans paint), a Kurt Vonnegut book, and finally Happiness starring his lord high executioner Philip Seymour Hoffman. Another reward situation I put in place was that I can't watch this until I've finished the essays.
Here's a video of Jon Stewart making fun of those cocksuckers on crossfire:
