FREE AT LAST
this weekend has gone by pretty fast and it was good. on friday i went to the gym after school and then went to the library to study for a bit since SAT2s are in less than 2 weeks. after that i came home and hung out with my sisters who came home for the weekend. we watched tv Scrabbled it up (i won the first game) and just chilled. then on saturday my sisters left in the morning and so then i went to the gym and then off to the library again to study. (you can probably tell that im behind on my studying oh well) then i come home and its off to work at 5. so i decided last week that i was going to put in my 2 weeks because i dont get paid enough and so i was looking forward to telling my boss. i get there around 5 and just hang out with people there. everyone's leaving so i wont really miss working there since everyones gonna be gone. after a while the closing shift people come to work and it was just cool relaxing and doing nothing. well i did do some stuff but not a lot. it wasnt that crowded. i worked with adrienne krystle and nick. it was cool. work is only fun when you work with people you like. so we were all talking about how much we hated work and its so ironic that i had my most fun day at work the day i decide to quit. anyway so after helping people, sitting around in the back doing nothing, and just hanging around we start cleaning up. nick was also putting in his two weeks the same night i was because he was goes the UCSB and didnt want to commute obviously. so i dont know why but i was really nervous about putting in my two weeks since i got promoted like a week before. i eventually did it though and she actually wasnt that mad. i was kind of surprised.
today i woke up and then headed to coldstone to see nick adrienne and pablo who all have their last day of work today. it was cool seeing them one more time before they leave to do whatever. (pablo is going to work at the haunted house for a bit, adriennes leaving for banana republic, and nick is going back to college). i'm just standing in the back room doing nothing. talking to ethan since he was making ice cream. and we were looking at the work schedule and realized that out of the 20 employees coldstone HAD, 10 are or have quit. lol. sucks for the people that still work there. anyway while i was standing in the back, this customer in the front calls me over even though im not wearing my uniform and he says "i want you to look at this" and he points at his ice cream and i see the whipped topping cap thing in his ice cream. hahaha. im like oh im sorry. and he said i'm not going to make a fuss out of this i just want more fudge and peanuts. lol. so then i call adrienne over to give him more fudge and peanuts. he was a good sport about it. luckily he didnt sue or something. actually i wouldnt care if he did. so after a while i say bye to everyone and leave.
Later that day i get a phone call on my cell phone from a phone number that ive never seen before and it turns out its my boss. she told me that i dont have to work tomorrow even though im scheduled to! yes! no work tomorrow! anyway thats my weekend in a nut shell.
on a side note ive started college applications and i think im making them harder than they should be. im overanalyzing what theyre asking me to do. lol oh well. im still not sure if i still want to apply to Ivys. people are telling me i should but im still hesistant and i dont know why. i dunno if its because i dont want to be a failure and not live up to expectations. or maybe its because im afraid ill get in and then be pressured to go. i dunno. i guess i have more time to think about it.
