The problem with Capitalism is that it tries to harness greed to fuel the system. The problem is, that in promoting a vice you inherently allow immoral behaviour. Thus everyone is trapped in the system and forced to work within it as planned, but instead of actually doing well most just spend their entire rime trying to break the system so they can get more out of it. The system promotes it's own defeat, and ends up expending enormous effort trying  to keep ahead of itself.

A proper societal system should try and harness the constructive tendencies of it's populace, allow them to feel included and a part of the overarching structure, braces instead of cogs. People put into the system, not to see what they can get out, but to see what can be done with it overall. To discover what they can construct from it.

I see it as a hybridized form of social individualism. Each person must feel that they are a self, distinct in the structure, but they also should see the benefit of joining and do so willingly. Obviously this means that anyone who doesn't want to participate in the system can opt out. There should be a mechanism in place which allows people to exempt themselves, be it in a concurrent societal system, isolation, or death.

This system would also require a real democracy. Each decision made by the society should be made by every individual as a whole. possibly through a system of ubiquitous voting whenever required, through secure electronic means accessible to every member. A system of representation could be implemented for the purpose of debate and dissemination of information to electorate, but each decision would be up to the people themselves. Of course, dissenters are always able to leave the system if they so choose.

This system need not have any physical boundaries, and could easily exist in several nations at once concurrently. If all members paid into it in some form of taxation, decided by the members, the money would be used to construct schools and hospitals, etc, wherever deemed fitting by the groups. Money could also be split in various fashions(e.g, Local, Federal, etc.) depending on needs and desired of the members.

However since there is no physical basis for these systems, any number could reasonably co-exist in the same area. Members should be able to easily choose Which system they belong to and switch between them as they wont. Opting out entirely if they prefer. This should allow each group to maintain a fairly clear majority within the group so that it can act as a more cohesive whole. Multiple memberships could even be possible.

Groups could choose to work together, pool resources, and form larger supergroups from their memberships, which would function along the same lines as a normal group.

Basically, what I'm suggesting is really well coordinated anarchy. And if it ever worked this way, I'm really not sure if the human race would survive for long. But fuck it, if it were destroyed, at least it'd be our choice.
