Pride
That's what it is. That is what keeps me from writing in this thing.
Not that I swore a swear to write in this thing semi-often (as my writing habits have CLEARLY shown). I just can't stand my writing: my bland style, lack of dazzling vocabulary or outrageous outbreaks of figurative language. I wish I could say more, but I bore myself to death just thinking about what I'll write (which then translates to me closing out Internet Explorer and grabbing the nearest Gospel of John commentary to drown out my unartistic shame). All of this is coming from the kid who wants to do "great" things, but he can't even keep up an online journal. See, I'm getting frustrated/depressed just writing this. I was intending for this to be a time of reflection, but I can't even hold my own attention. MTV generation, to you I say "boo."
