Smoking ban?
I don't know what the laws are.. but I"m pretty damned sure that most buildings in CA are smoke free..
My coworker Rochel has constantly battled the next door guy (the manager) and the guy one suite over who smokes cigars, in order to get them to stop smoking.
now that she is pregnant they both finally have seemingly complied.
She has been complaining almost since the day she took the job. I guess I"m just used to the second hand smoke.
We got one of those supposed air cleaner things (I think they are bullshit.)
Anyway this morning I'm feeling totally nauseaus and upon pondering why I realize that the office reaks of smoke.
Having the office smoke free for the last few months actually made me nauseas to smell it again.
I went next door to politely remind him to smoke downstairs or out on th ebalcony and he starts yelling at me that I was calling him a liar (he said he wasn't smoking.. ) (right..it's the imaginery smoker ghost who lives in the halls..) and that we always complain and how he bends over backwards for us and that he stopped because he respects her condition.
I gently point out that by law he really can't be smoking, nor can any of the other tennants be smoking..
He says "So sue me".
What an ass.
I ask him why he is yelling at me. That he knows I don't ever come in to complain.
And he is all defensive and beligerant.
Guilty guilty guilty.
Ugh.
