Psych-lab-let-out-early update coming to you from the SLC.

I'm back in class and it feels like I was just here. I know I did a lot over break, but I think because it was broken up into so many little trips and things (rather than three solid weeks of sitting on my ass at my parents' house, as per the usual Christmas break) it seemed shorter than usual. I think this semester is going to be pretty challenging, though if I start bitching about it just remind me that I made the conscious decision to take 15 hours while only needing seven hours to graduate. I'm also actually going to be held accountable for showing up, contributing to discussions, etc. this semester, because for the first time in my UGA career I don't have a single class with more than 35 students.

I've been nauseas and headachey the past few days, but figured it was caused by the medication I started taking this weekend. So it came as a surprise to me when I woke up this morning hating the world, with congestion, a headache, nausea and sneezing -- usually signs of a cold. I struggled to get out of bed and as such walked into my Fink class really late. I know most of you probably don't know who Fink is, but he's an extremely highly regarded journalism professor with an intimidating life story and particularly intimidating eyebrows. I felt so rude walking in late, but such is life.

My boss announced to us yesterday that -- since the people in the break room across the hall are always microwaving such delicious-smelling foods -- she will now permanently stock the herbarium kitchen with microwave popcorn and associated toppings. Have I mentioned before how unbelievably amazing my job is?
