Well, I'm finally back. It feels a little odd, but good as well. My cough has finally gone away, thankfully just before time to go back to school. On Friday already, I have to face History and Biology again. Ugh. Like Shelby said, it feels as though we just began our break! And I still haven't gotten a topic for my research paper... and an outline's due January 25th, and the paper is due by February 2nd. I decided not to do James Madison, then wanted to do horse racing during the Depression and how it helped the economy, but I haven't been able to find many books on it. If anyone has any history related topics to suggest, I'd love to hear them.
Christmas was pretty good, despite me being sick. I got some cool gifts, and a couple strange ones, but that's pretty standard.
My gifts:
Phantom of the Opera DVD
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron DVD
Celtic Woman Christmas CD
A lavender pair of softest socks on earth from Bath & Body Works
A bottle of Japenese Cherry Blossom perfume from Bath & Body Works
A tiny bottle of Cucumber Melon perfume from Bath & Body Works
An iDreams pillow
Lord of Chaos hardback
Drizzt collection of three books in one book
Another pair of socks, these ones fuzzy and pretty
$50 dollars
$5 Wal*Mart card
A butterfly necklace
A bracelet with Tinkerbell on it
Candy Land board game
Horse calendar
A little fountain that flashes through different colors
A milk chocolate candy bar
A little pink notebook which says "I Have Issues" on the front
A pair of black mittens
I think that's it. All in all, pretty good. I've watched the Spirit DVD, but haven't unwrapped the Phantom of the Opera one yet. And all my presents have been sitting besides my bed since Christmas... I hate disturbing new things for awhile; they just look so new and shiny. =) I did finally use my iDreams pillow last night - it works really well. Now I can listen to music without having headphones dig into my ears.
I was the only one in my family, yet again, who stayed up to watch the ball drop in Times Square. I was half asleep by that time, but still conscious enough to hear the countdown. I can't believe it's already 2007, and that in 1 month and 7 days I'll be 17. Now there's a scary thought.
The new semester at Trinity Arts Center starts January 9th, and they're just now processing our application. I'm not so sure on taking ballet now; I think I might want to go for theatre or voice instead. I definately need to get in for the language courses this year - it looks like I'll be taking Japenese after all. That Christian school didn't reply to Mom, to my knowledge.
Not much else has happened that I can think of since I last wrote. I counted up my savings and I now have $256. Now, I'm in a slight dilemma, because I can't decide what to spend it on. I have four choices:
1. Keep saving for a laptop.
2. Buy a fancy digital camera[with 10 megapixels, preferrably].
3. Buy a video iPod, iPod nano or Zune.
4. Just not spend it.
Any help with my decision would be nice. =)
Well, I'll stop rambling now.
Toodles!
