Last night can be described in no other way than ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Something Corporate put on an awesome show! They played all my favorite songs. The lead singer (Andrew)is ridiculously hot, especially since he cut his hair and died it black. He is such a nice person too. We got autographs and pics and talked with him and I also got a picture with the cute bassist who put his arm completely around my waist ;) I was going to get a picture with a member of the the opening band (who was def a hottie too), but my camera didn't work when we were posing for it! He was adorable too, b/c when we were waiting to go downstairs to Toad's to try to see Something Corporate, he walked from the stage to the stairs, saw us as Danielle said "Why do you have to be so freaking hot?" and was like, "Hi" so shy. It was so cute! We started off kind of far away because we didn't get there very early, but by the a few songs into the concert, people were leaving the front because people were swaying the whole group and some people didn't like it. So we pushed our way to about 3 rows in and had a close up view. It's funny because my pictures (which are most of Andrew) start from far away and then get close up. Andrew went crowd surfing and I touched his head, lol. Other than Andrew doing that, the people were kind of pissing me off. I got people dropped on my head 3 times, and since I knew it was the last song, I got out of the crowd. We were completely squished like body to body and I couldn't breathe or take it any longer. I put up with it for like an hour and just couldn't any more. The swaying was annoying too because there were times when my feet weren't even on the ground and I was support and other times where I nearly fell over, if it weren't for the tight packed people around me, I would have! The funny thing was, when I was up front, I was standing next to one of my RA friends (Tamara) for like half an hour before I realized it was her! And then I saw another RA (Shannon) afterwards getting pics and autographs with Andrew! I went Danielle, Liz, Amy and Jackie and Liz tried to get downstairs to ask Andrew what "strawdog" meant, but the security people kept asking us to go back up stairs. She was so funny! Then when Andrew came out to go upstairs to sign autographs, we were still downstairs and he walked by us, grabbed Danielle's arm and said, "Hey, how are you guys doing?" She loved it, lol. But I felt so old there because a lot of the other people were a lot younger, so I think Andrew liked us because of that too. We were like the only people there his age (he's 22) and a lot of people our age didn't stay to get autographs. I was so excited to meet them! And it felt so right (lol) with his arm around my waist ;)
