1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Been to Australia (and survived), gone to university and had a proper boyfriend.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Again, no resolutions were made. And none will be.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

France, Thailand and Australia.

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
 Confidence. Ha.

7. Three Enduring Memories of 2011:
1. Going to the RocSoc Christmas party, at which my lecturer was DJing, and having my boyfriend change the lyrics of ‘Come on Eileen’ to ‘Come on Ellen’.

2. Going to Australia. In particular, come back on the plane and watching The Maltese Falcon and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, completely believing that I was about to die.

3. The last day at school, crying with everyone. And then going to the park for a picnic, and playing on the climbing frame.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting 3 As in the A Levels, and getting full marks on two of my papers.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being able to live with the people I got placed in a flat with. And having to move out.

10. Are you lighter or heavier than last year?
Lighter.

11. Are you richer or poorer?
Probably poorer.

12. Are you sadder or happier?
Debatable.

Not really. Although, possibly a slight mental breakdown.

14. What was the best thing you bought?
Rent on my own flat.

15. Where did most of your money go?
I’m not sure. Food probably.

All of the day and all of the night - The Kinks

Let’s Face the Music - Nat King Cole

Fair - Remy Zero

Stay Here Forever - Jewel

17. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Work, and spending time with friends.

18. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating. Again.

19. How did you spend Christmas?
Cooking dinner, setting off the fire alarm and burning my hand. And going for a walk in a tiara.

20. What were your favourite TV programmes?
Neighbours and Terra Nova.

21. What were your favourite films?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Tangled

Films that didn’t come out but that I saw for the first time: High Society, Journey to the Centre of the Earth (50s version) and the Maltese Falcon.

25. Cosplays:
Snow White, Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton), Alice in Wonderland (Disney), Bellatrix Lestrange.

26. Favourite characters to write as:
Harry and Ginny, I guess, for the brief time I was fanficing. Other than that, writing has severely decreased. Oh, there was Bradley and Chris in my untitled, unfinished script.

27. What did you want and get?
A place at the University of Leeds to do a 4 year Masters. Oh, and a boyfriend. Fancy that.

28. What did you want and not get?
People like me to live with.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
18, and I had a tea party. I danced with my fiancé from school Raechel. I think on my actually birthday, though, I did revision. Oh, and my sister and I jumped into a large box and pretended it was a boat. We caught my other sister’s foot and pretended she was a mermaid.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Feeling like I can actually cope with living by myself.

31. Who was the best new person you met?
A certain boyfriend.

32. Did you fall in love?
We’ll see.

33. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
Some people actually want to help you. So let them. And tell them what’s wrong.

Stop complaining so much. Do something about it for a change. And don’t dwell on things.

34. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
”I take my shirt off

Looking for a glimpse of flesh

Peel back the concrete

HHope there’s something natural left

Because I am fading”

35. 2011:
Hard work. Again. A time of change.

36. 2012:
Exams. Must get high marks.
