Frickin Cake!
Damn. Couldn't think of anything to buy my sister for her birthday...she's way richer than me so she's already bought all the stuff she actually wants.
So I agreed to babysit my nephew while she went off for birthday shenanigans and thought, while she's gone I'll bake an awesome birthday cake and that'll be an excellent present.
Oh man did I overestimate my baking skills...4 hours of baking attempts and the best I managed looked like the Elephant Man of cakes...seriously, congealed human suffering and woe would have looked more appetising. I even failed at covering the woeful cake with icing, at first it was too watery then I tried to compensate by throwing some too thick icing on and mixing it...ended up looking like the mutant cake had contracted leperosy.
It tasted surprisingly nice though.
