Just wanted everyone to know that I'm still alive. I had been absent on LiveJournal lately, pretty much since Hurricane Katrina. I tried to help out the Red Cross a bit--they had a shortage of people licensed to assist with emergency radio communications, and I wanted to help out there some. I haven't heard yet if they need any such help with

Actually, your LJ's photos were some of the first that I saw from the scene. Good to know that your family made out okay!
