Okay so I wanted to update real quick so none of you think I died during tech weekend or something. I assure you, I have not abandoned my live journal I just have been so BUSY! Finals week begins Monday and I have more papers, performances, and tests then I can handle right now. I don't even really have time to update so I'll make this short.
Worked for two weeks on large science project only to have file decide it wanted to eat itself and die the night before this 15 page project was due. So in a panic I followed all the proper procedures, wrote to my prof, went to the technology director for my dorm, tried anything to recover what information I could on my disk from hell. (What I did to the fates to piss them off so badly I have NO IDEA.) I managed to recover only the first 8 out of the 15 pages but the rest was so corrupted there was nothing left to really salvage. My professor told me to send it in through e-mail by monday. So that sounds like an extension yes? WRONG. Turns out my professor is an asshole. I recived a very rude e-mail in return for my finished work basically stating he was acusing me of doing all of this 15 page paper in one night when I had two weeks to do it and must have conveiently had computer problems. So because of this accusation he said he was taking 15 points off and I quote, "oh well, lessoned learned." Why was I printing it out the night before? WHY?!? Because it took two freaking weeks to complete ontop of the other three assignments he had given us, work, and teching a show backstage. Does he think I am taking his class alone? For once, this is not something I waited till the last minute to work on. I worked on this project at every chance I got. I was deeply offended and pissed off by his rudeness and lack of professionalism. But, through gritted teeth, I managed to send a reply requesting time to meet with him to plead my case which is my right as a student on this campus. I recieved yet another rude e-mail from him refusing to meet with me. If my paper had been graded fairly he ended up giving me a 100% for my work,however because he's a son of bitch with the minus 15 points my grade was an 85%. I am still severly pissed off and once grades are turned in I am sending a complaint to his department. I want the asshole to suffer and I'll make sure I don't stay quiet for long.
So aside from all that I'm still overrealmed by taking finals and writing papers. I'm up to my neck in work I have no time to do and on top of that I have to deal with the mess that is my organsation. I don't have time for any of this right now. For those of you waiting on my posts, they are coming but until finals are finished, I have no time right now to dedicate to them what so ever. Hang in there guys I'm doing the best I can. I need to get back to work, now.
Oh, on a lighter note. WELCOME HOME GWEN!! Your plane should be flying into the JAX airport right about this time so I send BIG HUGS your way. I was sorry to hear about the delay in flights and the mix up with scheduals I know a lot of you were looking forward to it. Hell I was hoping to get a phone call from you guys at the welcome home party. Ah well, it will just have to be delayed a little bit, that all. Paitence my dears, it will come together one way or another. Gwen, I've missed you sooooooooo much. I look forward to our hours long chats and when I get home much rent festing and starbucks coffee dates (no caffinated for you of course) hee hee. Welcome home hun, you're back where you belong. LOVE YOU!
