OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
A film version of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony winning Broadway play August: Osage County is being readied for the big screen by a group of the show's producers. Playwright Tracy Letts will write the adaptation. No casting has been announced, nor has a shooting schedule been set.
The show, about a highly dysfunctional and volatile Oklahoma family, made its debut at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago in 2007 before transferring to Broadway's Imperial Theatre last fall. The show eventually won five Tony Awards, including Best Play and Best Director of a Play for Anna D. Shapiro.

In April, it moved to the Music Box Theatre, and on June 17, five members of the original cast departed -- including Tony Award winners Deanna Dunagan and Rondi Reed -- and Estelle Parsons, Robert Foxworth, Frank Wood, Jim True-Frost joined the cast. A production, starring most of the show's original cast, including Amy Morton, is scheduled to play London's National Theatre later this winter.
