Love List #20
My 20th Love List! I should be ashamed I don't discipline myself to keep up this gratitude list more often - I was checking up on my tags and realised that my first Love List was last August! Here are things I am loving at the moment:
* Hedgehogs How have I gone on for over twenty over years without having owned my own hedgehog? I even have a name already - Spike the Hedgehog. I remember a friend who kept one as a pet when she was living in Thailand. I've kept hamsters, fishes and other people's kids alive, so I don't see why I couldn't handle a hedgehog. * Zoie Jean Because she's still the cutest baby in the world, and that I've missed her terribly, Baby Z deserves a whole bullet point to herself.
* Avocadolite Farm This game is an absolute no-brainer, and keeps me entertained for hours when I shouldn't be entertained. I think the term I'm avoiding here is procrastination.
* Vintage Pocket Watches I've developed a liking towards gold vintage pocket watches of late. There's just something so quaint about fishing for a watch in your dress pocket and checking the time. Not the most convenient, but it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Sometimes, when life's a drag, it helps to attempt to live a fairytale.
* Dresses with Pockets I'm pretty sure I've ranted about this before. I think all dresses should have pockets! Even the tightest ones should have a little slit you can slide two tenners for your cab ride home. I've resorted to cutting up and stitching in pockets in some of my dresses because of how practical it is - especially when I'm at shoots. I have clips, pins, masking tape, scissors, sponge, silicone chicken fillets all over myself and pockets help!
* Exciting Month Ahead! September is almost here, and it's proving to be quite the month even though it's not here yet. With kickass photo shoots that have already been pencilled in with Scott, a thrill-in-my-tummy revelation of something brand spanking new that I've been working on with cultprairie and my first European fashion week mid month, September is going to be worth the wait!
* Mad Men I would give up a lot of things to dress the cast of Mad Men. I want to be the show's stylist! The suits, the dresses, the headgear, the shoes, the hairstyles! Sigh... check out the video tour of Mad Men's costume shop, and Mad Men Yourself here! Here I am, in a hairstyle I could never pull off in reality [and secretly wish I could], Mad Men style: ;o)
