Happy Feet!
I loaned this pair of Vivienne Westwood for Melissa from Front Row today for a shoot I'm doing on Monday and I couldn't resist snapping a couple of photos of the traffic-halters. Granted the heels aren't of the height I'm usually used to, but these make it perfect for lazy days, and for me, days when I want to be short enough to be able to hear my friends instead of stooping down 24/7. Heh.
While I didn't get those babies pictured above [damned snow ski-sized feet!!], these are my fab new purchases off eBay. Left, are Patricia Field's, and heels on the right are from Alice + Olivia. Yummeh.
Speaking of shoes, there was an afternoon I was rocking 5 inch heels and was waiting for a friend in Orchard Road. A couple walked past me, and the girl was hobbling, holding on to her boyfriend for her dear life. Curious, I followed their eyes to see what the problem was... and horror of all horrors, this girl was wearing a pair of 2-inch wedges and hobbling because she was in pain. The couple noticed me looking at them and looked down at the heels I was wearing. I gave them a smug grin, kicked my heels and walked away.
If you can't work 'em, don't wear 'em, babycakes.
