While Annie is in town for her conference, we decided to have a fancy dinner tonight.
Earlier this week, we had bought some artichokes and Annie bought a pound of fresh salmon from Pike Place during one of her breaks, today. From those, we made a nice healthful dinner of grilled salmon and artichokes. I prepared the salmon marinade and a glaze made out of reduced soy sauce, brown sugar and water. Everything turned out fantastic! Here's a picture of the spread:
Pretty tasty looking, huh? You really can't go wrong with fresh wild salmon and boiled artichokes. The salmon marinade/glaze is definitely a recipe to keep around. The salmon was fantastic and the artichokes are basically perfectly done. :-) Annie says she is a very happy girl.
