“Useless, ungrateful pig!” a woman screeched, eyes narrowed with intense distaste. His mistress was most certainly not pleased, and the young lord was not used to such reactions, knew not what to say in return.
It had been a romp, nothing more… what did he care?
“Out with you, boy!”

Tears formed in jade eyes as the young lord hastened from the room, caused his body to careen around the corner in flight, missed the padlock set upon the door....
