I was going to take the bus this morning, but after waiting 15-20 minutes for it, I decided to walk.
The weather was cold, but the wind wasn't too bad until I got to the bridge; by that time I had already worked up a bit of a sweat, so I opened up my jackets to let the air in to cool me off. On my way, I noticed a few things.
On lower Burnside, 2 12s and a 19 passed me... as well as the bus stop across the street with 4 people waiting for the bus.
Across one intersection there were about 15 Asian Reporter newspapers strewn through the intersection (?).
On the bridge, there were drifts of ice pellets close to the inside of the bridge's balusters. They were greyish-brown--dirty looking.
Another 2 buses passed me on the bridge--only one looked as if it could even squeeze me on.
On the way off the bridge, I saw a turd.
When I got to Broadway, I noticed a lot of garbage; cigarrette-pack wrappers, a lid to a plastic soda bottle, a plastic coffee-cup lid, a couple of empty, flattened paper coffee cups, a few cigarette butts.
